Pets in UK are competing to go from pudgy to svelte. From Fairfax Digital…
A group of podgy pets with a combined weight of more than 175 kilograms have been unveiled in the UK, as contestants in an annual fat-fighting challenge.
The animals, which include a 50 kilogram Labrador and a fat cat with a 25 inch waist, are taking part in the Pet Fit Club competition.
The eight animals will take part in a 100-day diet and fitness challenge, the champ will be crowned in January.
The contest is sponsored by PDSA, a UK veterinary charity that cares for pets in need. The winner of the competition will be crowned the ‘PDSA pet fit club champ’ and his or her people will enjoy a vacation getaway. The real goal of the contest is to make pet owners more aware of the seriousness of obesity in pets.
Good luck to all of the pets who are competing! Be careful not to strain any of those muscles when you do those kitty and doggy sit-ups!

Yes, wishing them all good luck. I’m sure they’ll enjoy more walks, etc.
