EMT saves cat’s life by performing CPR

by Therese on October 30, 2007

in Cats, Pet First Aid, Pets

After a fire that destroyed two homes in Lansford, PA, an EMT was able to revive a lifeless yellow tabby cat by performing CPR. The cat survived thanks to the quick actions of the EMT!

See the video on CNN.

This is one of the skills I teach in my first aid class – one that can obviously save a pet’s life!

That is so great. I hope he didn’t get too much razzing from the guys at the station for mouth to snout.

Yes, I think that was wonderful. Animals deserve being rescued also. They are people also.

The cat died, was never revived. He is NOT an EMT, but a Deputy Sheriff. Not a warm fuzzy story.

Trying to make up for past “incidents with cats. Totally blown out of proportion and facts twisted by all media. I line next to the fire scene, everyone in town confused why this got so much attention. Nice try, but too late.
