Three years of kicking cancer’s sorry ass!

by Therese on July 1, 2011

in Lydia's cancer, My pets

If you think of the biggest, brightest fireworks you’ve ever seen, you’ll get a pretty good idea of how I’m feeling today. This is Lydia’s third anniversary of when she was diagnosed with cancer.

On July 1, 2008 she had surgery to remove a lump that turned out to be cancer. At that time I didn’t know if she’d be around six months later, let alone 3 years! Her vet hurried us off to an oncologist, who started Lydia on chemo right away. We’ve certainly had some ups and downs since then, but she’s still here. She continues to prove what a little cancer warrior she is as she keeps kicking cancer’s sorry ass! She’s active, happy, and she’s still stealing Archie’s stuffed KONG!

Happy 4th of July everybody!

It truly is wonderful to see Lydia healthy & happy. She deserves to steal Archie’s Kong……..sorry, Archie! Let’s cut her some slack after all she’s been through………I’d even let her steal Hannah’s Kong……….:-)

Happy Fourth back at you……..kisses to Lydia…….xoxoxo

Yay Lydia! Happy 3 year anniversary! She’s a very sweet girl. … Funny thing… she doesn’t seem to be bothered by the fireworks in your bedroom. 🙂

LOL Sue. There are always fireworks in my bedroom!

I know Archie was happy there weren’t many fireworks over the fourth. He’s the REAL nervous wreck when it comes to storms and loud noises, isn’t he? I was SO happy the fireworks were canceled. Much too dangerous in this crazy, dry Texas weather.
