Product Review and Giveaway: PetSmart Dog Toy

petsmart kissing lips dog toy

PetSmart has a fun dog toy to celebrate Valentine’s Day – Electronic Kissing Lips plush toy. They sent us one a few days ago for review purposes, and it’s turned into Archie’s new favorite toy. It cracked me up when I first squeezed it. Instead of making a squeak sound like most of Archie’s fully toys, this one makes kissing noises. As soon as I showed it to Archie, he wanted it. Then he wouldn’t let go of it! He carried it around for at least an hour – making that silly noise the entire time! I had to take it away from him at bedtime otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten any sleep.

Enter to Win Your Dog Some Kissing Lips!

PetSmart has two of the Kissing Lips toys for us to give away. They’re also going to include a vinyl cupcake and shoe (Lydia likes this better than the lips) with each of the lips. According to Archie, even though the vinyl toys are fun, the lips have the shoes licked (that was Archie’s pun – not mine!)

How to Enter

  • For a chance to give your dog some lip smacking fun (again, Archie’s the punster, not me!) with a really goofy pet toy, leave a comment below.
  • Entries will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, Feb. 13. Then, on Valentine’s Day, I’ll pick a couple winners.

I guarantee the dogs and their people will have fun with this one.

See the rules here.

Pet Adoptions this Weekend at PetSmart

This Friday through Sunday, all PetSmart stores are holding adoption events as part of their National Adoption Weekend. With a goal of finding homes for 17,229 dogs, cats and small animals, more than 2,000 animal-welfare agencies throughout North America are expected to participate.

Visit the PetSmart Charities’ Adoption Center inside any PetSmart® store in the U.S. and Canada from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 13. Adoptions are handled by participating animal-welfare groups. Call a PetSmart® store near you to find out about a specific agency’s set-up time during the three-day event. For more information visit www.PetSmartCharities.org/adoption or call 1-877-473-8762.

UPDATE: Congrats to our winners – Sharon of Texas, and Brigitte, of North Carolina

PetSmart sent us the toys, but didn’t pay for the blog post.

Awwwww! I think Endless would LOVE a toy like this! Training her as a service dog, I have so little money to spare on toys being on social security. I literally live penny to penny. I have some tennis balls saved up from a long time ago, but Flecks and Surrido used to EAT them, so they could only be dealt out a little at a time. I think I have 3 left. Endless is doing a little better at not shredding everything, but being a teething puppy, its hard to keep her interested in new toys to learn to retrieve. She would love a different sound, and training against distractions would be wonderful!

Chrissie is ready for some lip smacking fun! She is into noise making toys! She has her paws cross that she is a winner!

Hannah decided she wants the kissy lips so she can make even more strange noises. She has animals that make sounds like they really do in the wild (ask me how many times I’ve totally freaked out hearing those noises inside my home) or the time she stood up the rabbit by the open sliding glass door & I had a friggin heart attack because it looked like a real rabbit had gotten into my house.

Ah, life w/a dog! Just a laugh a minute.

Could I please have some kissy lips? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Forgot to ask…….sorry……..haven’t heard any news on Lydia. I’m assuming that’s because she’s doing super???????

Thanks for asking! She’s going for an ultrasound later today and I’ll do an update after that. Keep your fingers and paws crossed we get a good report.

Wow, the doggies are gonna have fun with these! I can hardly wait to hear them!

Josie and Sam February 11, 2011 at 10:18 am

When we go to school to work with the special needs kids Sam is known for being the big kisser of the group. The kids wait all week for Sam to give them a kiss. Sam agrees with Archie kissy lips have to be the best.

My four dogs would love this toys. My four dogs, Moca, Lucy, Shabby and, Jetthrow are my life. They make everyone in the house feel good. When you are needing a pick up all of my dogs are waiting to cuddle with you and give you a bug wet kiss. My dogs are all sitting with me asking “when am I going to get my own kissing lips?”

I think I will skip the plush toy. Every time that I have given my dog a plush toy, it has turned into a bad experience. One in which I am cleaning up “stuffing” from end to end of my house. We stick with the rubber toys.

I give my “Toby” lots of kisses everytime I go out and can’t take him with me,then ask him if I can have one, after which he will cry until I leave. I would love to be able to leave him with a “kiss” until I come home, then I can kiss him myself again. “Toby” is a red dachshund.

My dogs Kouga and Milele would love some new toys. Milele likes a cuddle buddy to sleep with and Kouga our rescue dog loves anything that makes noise. The add some much love and joy to our home.

My dog DJ loves to give kisses! I mean he knows the word “kisses” and is very gracious in giving them, LOL. He is awesome and I love him. I would love to give him a Valentine’s Day toy. Thank you for sharing!
