Archie watched Bolt with me…well, for a little while anyway. He seemed really interested in the movie in the beginning, when little Bolt was whining. After that though, he sort of lost interest and left the room. I wouldn’t take Archie’s reaction to the movie to heart though. I’m thinking he would have enjoyed it if he’d stuck around a little while longer!
Bolt (voiced by John Travolta) is the star of the biggest show in Hollywood. The only problem is, he thinks the whole thing is real. When the super dog is accidentally shipped to New York City and separated from Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus), his beloved co-star and owner, Bolt springs into action to find his way home. Together with his hilarious new sidekicks Rhino (voiced by Mark Walton) – Bolt’s #1 Fan – and a street-smart cat named Mittens (voiced by Susie Essman), Bolt sets off on an amazing journey where he discovers he doesn’t need super powers to be a hero.
This is a cute movie, with a fun story and great characters. The dog, Bolt, was great but I have to say Rhino the hamster, Mittens the cat, and the pigeons were fabulous. The pigeons especially just cracked me up with their constant head tilt action.
If you haven’t seen Bolt yet, get the DVD or Blu-Ray and watch it with your kids. Everybody will enjoy it!
If you’ve already seen it…who’s your favorite character?
Bolt (Three-Disc Edition w/ Standard DVD + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] will be available starting March 22.

Thanks for the review. I always wonder about these movies since you can never gauge if they would be worth the time.
I love this movie!!!! Not only is Bolt one of my favorite characters – but the gerble – oh my god!!!! TO funny!
I had a white shepherd so of course I saw my former dog in Bolt.
They did an awesome job with this movie – a must own!
You’re right Robert! I know I’m going to watch it again soon. That gerbil running around in his little plastic ball is hilarious! I may have to make Archie stay in the family room and watch it with me. He may do the same thing Angeles did when he heard the squeekie.
you will love the alley cat too.
one last thing…. when Bolt played with the carrot squeaker Angeles kept looking at the TV and walked up to it, like “where is my squeaky toy?”
Good post i loved this movie, i nominated this post for a BoB award where you could win 1000 bucks. Congrats
One of the good animation movie that I ever seen. The children in the theatre enjoyed all over the movie. Nice movie, indeed.
