Two Pet Food Recalls

in Pet Food Recall, Pet Health, Pets

There are two pet food recalls to report.  They were mentioned in the comments section of yesterdays post, but here they are again:

1.  Nestle Purina PetCare Co. voluntarily withdrew all Waggin’ Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats sold in the United States after trace amounts of antibiotic residue were found in samples.

2.  Milo’s Kitchen Chicken Jerky and Chicken Grillers Home-style dog treats are recalled after trace amounts of residual antibiotics were found.

What is the product number for Waggin Train? I have two packs but don’t know if they’re safe. Number I have is 2173T039 0201W63 – is this safe?

Wow – thanks for posting! Are these treats made in the USA?

I believe they are made in China. I read the original article at http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/consumer&id=8947829.

Why do these companies keep letting China make our pet food. Are the owners of these companies insane or do they just not care at all? They keep repeating the same mistakes with China. The Chinese are trying to slowly kill our pets, our children and whoever is left after that and they STILL DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Go figure.

Be careful buying the Milo treats as some are made in the US and other in China…I wish it was easier to find treats made in the US…any of the big box stores now mostly carry made in China products….and people keep buying them. Thanks for sharing the recall info….
