** For a list of pet foods NOT recently recalled go to The Pet Food List **

The Evolve website says they’re recalling some foods, “as of today” although the notice isn’t dated, so I don’t know when “today” actually is (or was).

NOTICE To All Concerned Pet Owners:

In the on-going FDA investigation of contaminated rice protein concentrate, the FDA has attempted to link other brands that might have possibly been affected due to potential cross contamination of ingredients. Evolve Kitten Food made on March 12, 2007 has now been included in this group.

As of today, 99.4% of the 27,560 lbs. of product made on March 12, 2007 (Best Used By Sep 13 08) has been accounted for and removed from sale. Currently there is 168 lbs. that has not been accounted for. The above 168 lbs. is a total of 9 units in 3# and 7# sizes. Based on the date of manufacture, retail information, consumer contact and expected daily consumption, we strongly believe ALL remaining products from this date have been safely consumed with no adverse effects.

The Evolve formulae do NOT contain any wheat gluten or rice protein concentrate, and the FDA tests confirmed that no melamine was present.

As a valuable Evolve customer, we want you to be aware of this situation despite the fact no melamine have been found by independent testing. This action is a precautionary measure only, as there is no evidence to suggest these products in any way pose a health hazard.

This action effects the March 12, 2007 manufacture date and product only. No other Evolve products have been or will be involved. Feel free to contact us at nationalsales@triumphpet.com with any questions or concerns.

Thank you.

The announcement is on the Evolve website.

I am so sorry your product line was involved. The only reason China got caught this time was because someone in their plant screwed up….instead of 4% he added 40%+ and caused thousands of deaths and thousands of more auto immune disease responses….yet to be seen. These will range form thyroid problems to diabetes to cancers…not only in animals but in any humans who consumed these poisons over the past 15 years. See no one understands this additive has been normal practice in China for 15 years. The product shipped to delmonte said food grade…that means any human food needing this product. So see its much worse than we can imagine…it is not about a traceable single incident that has some kind of end point. Its about imports that are not being checked and the poisoning of Americans for profits by China. All processed food imports needs to stop immediately coming into the USA. We are the bread basket of the world and we do not need anyone else touching our food stuffs. Instead we should be feeding the world….not the other way around…the world should not be feeding us.

So you have some thinking to do….can you trust the Chinese or any other foriegn food importer?…The Answer is no! As any American Company your responsible to its own citizens….all American Companies should stand up and say no more…..we do not want your proceesed food products! You are only responsible to the customers and the system that gives you the freedoms and success you have and that you should be forever grateful for…….become a true American….ban these imports now!
