The folks at FURminator have added a few new features to their newest deSheddding tool. The first is a cool FURejector, wich is a little lever that pushes the hair out of the tool. It also has a new ergonomic handle that makes it more comfortable to hold. They’re cool features, but the FURminator itself still works the same as it always has – it kicks fur butt!
I’ve used the FURminator on my guys and they all like it – especially Tequila! I think she has FURdar because no matter where she is in the house, if I pick up a FURminator, she comes out of nowhere and has to be FURminated!
One thing I really like about the FURminator – new and old – is how sturdy these things are. Unlike a lot of dog and cat brushes I’ve used, these things are built to last. You’re going to pay a little more than you might a traditional dog brush, but you’ll probably have it for years to come. There’s nothing wimpy about the FURminator.
The FURminator deluxe tools come in 4 different sizes. The website says the compact one, the one I have, is for small pets such as rabbits and cts, and small dogs under 20 pounds. Archie and Lydia are both about 40 lbs. though and it works just fine on them, as well as my cat, Tequila. They also have a medium tool for pets 25-50 lbs, a large one for dogs over 50 lbs, and a cat tool.
The FURminator deLuxe Collection will be in stores in December.
FURminator sent me a sample to review for this blog post, but don’t think that’s the reason I’m saying good things about it. The FURminator is one of my favorite pet tools!
