Bill, and everyone else who has questions about Dingo products, please go to the company website: http://www.eightinonepet.com/
Rather than give you the information about specific recalls we are asking people to visit the company website and/or contact them personally.
Bill, to answer your question, i gave my dogs the mini dingo meat and then read that company is recalling too. I called them today and they said it was only the ‘chicken jerkey treats,’ but then i asked…the mini dingo meat in the middle also state that it contains chicken. the rep responded that it is processed in a different way and is NOT affected by the recall. But, I personally will not be using these treats. This is getting out of control. I think the rest of the companies are now vigorously testing in fear…and are coming up with all kinds of stuff.
awful.
It only is the Chicken Jerky. All other products are fine.
What is the deal?? All of a sudden dog food and treats are being recalled. We count on these companies to be safe for our pets that are like family to most of us. I’m very concerned about this as Dingoes are my puppies favorite treats. What is the world coming to that we can’t even count on our food suppliers?
My dog gor sick and I only have fed it the DINGO MEATY MIDDLES raehide chews. Itried going to the website for 8 in 1 as suggetsed by the recall site, but guess what? run around and no staight foreward info which only makes me more mad. My lot # 06353 item #25021 and yes these treats contain chicken!
My Mom’s chihuahua’s favorite are the chicken in the middle…. when she gave her them…they made her sick & she would vomit (yellow foamy) …the beef & rawhide didn’t. My Mom’s calling the company. TOO SCARY!
My little girl doggie had diarrea this morning for the first time in a long long time, after I purchased a new package of dingo mini-bones and gave her one last night. These are the white and red bones, rawhide with a strip of chicken in the middle. Did you know these Dingo bones are all made in China? So, as-if, they know that the process of making the bones is different from making the chicken jerky…Like, do they speak Chinese and they talked to the people who make them?
I use Waggin Train Brand “Chicken Jerky Tenders” by ADI Pet, Inc. – Reno, NV, and it does say made in China. I purchase this at CostCo and was wondering if this is safe. Please advise.
We have three chihuahuas and one of them died one month ago. She started with vomiting and dehydration and then we were told the she may either have an obstruction or have been poisioned. Since our dogs are inside dogs and we are with them at all times outside we thought it was an obstruction. Finally the doctor said he was almost positive it was some kind of poisoning. They were going to scope her but before that could happen she died. We gave our dogs Waggin Train and Bestro’s Jerky Chicken Strips. Our Sweet Rosie (our chihuahua that passed) loved them and she would eat all the treats we put down for the other dogs too. Up until today we never had any idea what happened but now with Wal Mart (I bought the treats there and at Sams) pulling this from the shelves, I truly believe that is why she died. I would like to find a website with other dog owners who may have experienced the same as we have. If you know of any please let us know. We are totally heartbroken and will never forget Our Sweet Gypsy Rose!
Amy, I don’t know if that’s one of the treats in question or not, but personally I wouldn’t feed it. It’s better to be safe than end up with a sick or dead dog because of tainted food. Look at the next post by Gerri, and that may be enough to convince you to toss that stuff! (If I find out anything for sure I’ll be sure to post it.)
Gerri, I’m so sorry to hear you lost your Sweet Gypsy Rose! It breaks my heart that stories like yours are so common these days – this should not be happening! If you haven’t already, please let Kim over at Pet Food Tracker know about this – she’s compiling lists of problems people have had with foods that have not been recalled. You may also want to check our forums at http://www.thepetfoodlist.com. There are many pet owners on there who have had problems with various foods. Please know my heart goes out to you.
Amy and Gerri – I’ve just read at least 8 other reports of dogs getting sick or dying from Waggin Train Chicken Jerky. Like Therese says, I wouldn’t feed it to them. I’ll be posting links to those reports on my blog shortly (see link above.)
Gerri – I’m SO sorry for your loss. It’s just heartbreaking.

I had to adopt my daughter’s dogs about nine months ago. The only treat I really give them is the Bestro’s chicken strips. They have lived with me for about 9 months now. The one is sick almost weekly to the point I had the vet do blood work. The blood work looked ok. The other one does not seem to be sick but never seems to be hungry or eat like a normal dog, he can go 2 days and not eat at all. Now I feel that I am getting answers to why I have been having so much trouble with them. I have been home cooking and will now start home cooking their treats as well. I say all dog lovers should come together and refuse to buy any food or treats from the stores especially if made in China!!
It is possible that there is no problem with other brands of jerkey strips, that there is no harmful chemicals, etc, but who wants to test these companies safty on their family pet… NOT ME!!
It is possible to buy treats that your pet will love, witch will not make their health suffer, you just must be willing to take the time to look at labels, and spend the money. Money talks, and each dollar that we spend on shoddily made products, and give to corporations with negligable moral practice, tells them that we will buy whatever (safe or not) they can produce most cheaply. I used to subscribe to the belief that if it was sold for us or our pets to eat then it must be safe, but this is simply not the case! I once fed my pets food and treats that were the most affordable, I now feed some of the most expensive foods (not ones that can be found at walmart or petco). This is not because I am a yuppy, or because I am rich. In fact I am a struggling student, and work two jobs. I believe that the health of my pets and myself is important and will make sacrifices in other parts of my life, so that we will be healthier and will visit the vet less often. People in america pay so little for food, as a percentage of our expenditures, and food is one of the most important things for longevity and health. My point is go to your local specialty pet store and look for whole meat treats that are made in america such as merricks lamb, or innova freeze dried foods. If you cannot find a good treat that you trust, then buy a small bag of quality cat or ferret food such as innova and give it in small quantities for treats. If all else fails buy sale chicken, lamb, liver, hearts, etc, meat and boil it and keep it in the freezer to give to your furry friends as treats (in small quantities) they will love you for it.
I have a question…my dog used to eat the Dingo mini bones all the time. She started getting sick every once in a while throwing up foam and “red” stuff we thought was blood. We took fer to the vet, he felt her stomach, didnt feel any ulcers or anything and gave us nausea medication and sent her home. So..after not giving her these bones, we just thought that maybe she was swallowing the bones and they were scraping her throat or stomach which we thought the blood was causing her to throw up. Well, recently we bought for (not dingo branded) small white rawhide dental bones and the same thing happened but with no “red stuff” or blood…any advice please? I am not sure if she is allergic to something or if they actually are scraping her throat.
Hi, i have a 6 month old malti-poo and she is healthy and very active also has all her shots. she has been good lately so i decided to treat her with a dingo bone (meat inside) the little chewable bones. and ever since she ate them she throws up white foam. not everyday but it has happened three times. or so, it’s this white foam type of thing and she has been very healthy ever since..but these bones are just horrible..idk if they are getting stucked on her system or what? does someone know if they’re on recall?
They are the mini dingos with meat in the middle and the items number is 30020 045-2030-03 lot number is 07326.
i would appreciate if someone would help me so i can know if this is what is affecting Chloe (my puppy).
thank you all and im sorry to hear about everyones loss. this companies should be held responsible for this, it is unbelievable the amount of pets that have died or get sick yearly because of these foods, you think when you buy them they’re trustworthy and it ends up in th worse case scenario.
We manufacturer here in the USA 100% USDA beef jerky for dogs! It’s so good that humans can eat it as well.
I ALSO USE WAGGIN TRAIN CHICKEN JERKY MADE IN CHINA BOUGHT AT COSCO. I WON’T USE ANYMORE. CAN’T WE MAKE ANYTHING IN AMERICA
I see all this talk about Dingo’s Meaty in the Middle but no for sure answers. Is this or is this not a safe product for our little pets. I fed mine some the other day and she has been listless and having diarria since. Any info would be helpful.
When in the heck are we going to learn about hazzards of buying things from China, especially food of any type. I am amazed at the food (human food) that is made in China, frozen shrimp, Demotte Fruit Bowls, Apple Juice, etc. I will not buy it and will pay more for American Made products!! I am sorry anyone has to lose a pet, but it would even more horrific to lose a Mother, Father, Sister or Brother to contaminated Chinese crap that our government let come into this country to kill its citizens! Be aware and read labels!! Also, Research the UPC codes, they contain product origin information as often companies are leaving this info off the bag due to backlash!!
WEWHY IN THE WORLD DO WE KEEP BUYING ITEMS FROM CHINA WE HAVE OUTSOURCED OUR JOBS TO PEOPLE WHO COLD CARE LESS IF WE DIED FROM THESE PRODUCTS.BLAME OUR CONGRESS FOR THE SELL OUT OF OUR COUNTRY AND THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE .WE THE PEOLE OF THE UNITED STATES NEED TO STOP BUYING THINGS MADE IN CHINA AND BRING MANUFACTURING BACK TO OUR COUNTRY .YOU CAN NOT GO TO ANY STORES ANYMORE DUE TO THE FACT THAT 90% OF THE PROUCTS ARE MADE IN CHINA AND OTHER ASIAN COUNTRIES .THE REASON IS SIMPLE (GREED,).PURE AND SIMPLE .THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ANIMAL PRODUCTS BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHER PRODUCTS THAT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED THAT ARE SUPPOSE TO BE SAFE AND WHERE IS OUR MEDIA ? THIS IS JUST ANOTHER OUTRAGE .WAKE UP PEOPLE! OUR DEBT TO CHINA HAS GIVEN THEM THE UPPER HAND.AND WE AS A COUNTRY NEED TO CORRECT THE DEALINGS THAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON WAY TO LONG.WE ALSO BOUGHT THESE DINGO CHICKEN TENDERS AND MADE OUR DOG VERY SICK .THANK GOD SHE MADE IT!
