I didn’t really plan on taking a few days off from blogging but that’s what I did. My sister and her son were visiting from Indiana for the past few days and even though I’d planned on doing at least some work while they were here, I did very little. We were just having too much fun for me to think about working…so I didn’t!

I’m not the only one who enjoyed the visit though. Archie & Lydia had a great time, especially Lydia. Having someone else around gave her another person to convince they should go outside and play for a while. She’s such a little persuader that it worked almost every time! Once Lydia gave them that “go outside and play with me…oh please” look, the door was open and Lydia was outside, having fun with somebody new. But on the other hand, since he doesn’t like to go out any more than necessary, Archie was in heaven with the extra people were inside.

And while I’m talking about the dogs…

I haven’t done an update on Lydia for a couple weeks because there’s not much to say. And that’s a good thing! She had chemo almost 3 weeks ago and she’s doing great. Based on how things went after the first round, I’m thinking her blood counts are at about the low point and will be on the way back up soon. She’s scheduled for round 3 of chemo next week, along with an ultrasound to see how she’s doing. But, right now, today…she’s absolutely wonderful! She got some good playtime in when the family was here and although I keep an eye on her to be sure she’s not overdoing it, she was dog tired after a few of her workouts.
