I reviewed The Merck/Merial Manual for Pet Health a while back and am happy to be able to offer it to three of our readers. It’s an excellent source of information covering health issues for cats, dogs, horses, birds, and other animals. It’s based on the The Merck Veterinary Manual, but is written in a layman’s terms so the average pet owner can understand it without having to interpret medical jargon. It covers common diseases and disorders in dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles, fish and exotic animals like chinchillas and sugar gliders. There’s also a section on pet first aid and diagnostic tests & imaging.Read my full review of the book here.
