After two ultrasounds and a plasma transfusion, we weren't ready to put him through surgery either. And I'm glad we didn't: The conservative approach with new meds and steroids have seemed to do the trick (knock on wood). He may be on these meds and steroids, along with a special diet, for the rest of his life, but that's okay with us... I wish you and Tequila the best!
